School isn’t technically over. There are two internships to complete and a final portfolio, but today was the last day we met for class on campus. I cleaned out my locker and found the soup can assignment, binders full of negatives, film, and a whole slew of other stuff. Like I said, it’s not over yet. Cleaning out your locker, though, has a way of making you feel like it’s over.
This is a trumpet getting a bath. It was Jerry’s first time giving his trumpet a bath and I must say, thank goodness for YouTube. We didn’t have all the necessary tools for this job (snakes! brushes in many sizes!) but do not worry – I’ve already ordered them on ebay.
Our book, our little baby, is finally out there in the world!
My three classmates and I are so proud of what we’ve accomplished. We are the smallest class of Biocommunications students to publish a book, and I think the document we created speaks to our individuality. You can think of it as a photography book, or a fine art book, or a coffee table book, or the perfect gift for everyone on your list. It’s all of those things. The book is also a fundraiser for the Randolph Community College Foundation. All our profits go towards student scholarships. How cool is that?
You can purchase the book through Blurb here – Lumen III: Impressions of Light
When you click through to Blurb you get to see a small preview of the book which will give you an idea of what to expect. I think you’ll love it.
