Today I worked on testing a rig that we’ll use to suspend the camera on location (with about five backup plans just in case) and fixing the ratchet assembly on a light. This job is so fun and it’s almost over. :(
The sun was sitting just above the tree line as I left school this evening. I’ve been in and out of this doorway and down this long hallway hundreds of times, lugging gear, squeaking my shoes, getting a breath of fresh air away from the computer lab…it has never been so pretty as it was tonight.
All of the equipment pictured, except the tripod, is stuff I borrowed from school. That is, the full frame camera, the lens, the bellows, the hot shoe safety sync and the cord (connected to lights). When I look through the viewfinder I can’t see anything, so I’m playing around until I get a handle on the process of shooting macro.
There are eight weeks of school left before I leave to do internships. Eight weeks of playing, eight weeks of working. Eight weeks to make this time count. Eight weeks.
School starts back this week. I love new pencils.
